Remote Desktop Support
TSS RDP (remote desktop) Authenticator
TSS RDP (remote desktop) Authenticator
How to download Microsoft Authenticator:
First, you will log into Office 365.
This can be done from your Office 365 email
(GMC Portal)
or your Office 365 account home page.
(portal.office.com)
Once logged in, locate your initials in the top right corner.
Next, click on your initials and then ‘View Account.
On the ‘My Account page, click on ‘Security Info.’
You can manage your authentication and password recovery options on the Security Info page.
To add a new option, locate and click on ‘Add sign-in method’ and select the method. You MUST choose the
Authenticator app
as the option. (You want push notification). Sending a text to your phone will NOT work!
Click ‘Add’ and then proceed with the on-screen instructions. It should give you the option to download the app here; if not, here is the link.

Once you’ve completed the on-screen instructions, you should change your default method to ‘Microsoft Authenticator – notification’ at the top. To do this, click on the ‘Change’ by Default sign-in process and select your newly added method.
To download the TSS RDP Icon:
Open a new browser window (Google Chrome, Firefox, Edge) and go to
https://rds.gmc.edu/RDWeb
Here you’ll need to put in your GMC username & password in the gmc\username format.
Press the ‘Sign in’ button, and you’ll be greeted with this next window.
Here you will click on ‘GMC Desktop’ and download the file. Save this file in a location such as your Documents or your Desktop.
Once saved, double-click on the icon to open it. Click on the checkbox for “Don’t ask me again for remote connections from this publisher” and then press ‘Connect.’
Enter your credentials in the format of ‘gmc\username’ and press ok.
Once you press ok, you’ll be greeted with this connection window. This is where you will need to approve the notification from the Microsoft Authenticator App.
After you have hit approve, the connection will be granted, and you will be logged into TSS.
